About us
In 2017, go-e introduced the world's first smart wallbox for charging electric cars that can also be used on the move. The company, which currently has around 125 employees, established itself as an international provider for the production and distribution of accessories for e-mobility. Today, customers from more than 20 countries receive charging technology from go-e via a constantly growing network of more than 2,000 partners, dealers and specialist companies. In the 2022 Wallbox test by ADAC, ÖAMTC and Stiftung Warentest, a go-e Charger was awarded first place. A go-e Charger also won the 2023 test by Auto Bild and P3 as the price-performance winner. Production is carried out as sustainably as possible at the company's Austrian headquarters in Feldkirchen. go-e also operates additional sites in Berlin and Graz that specialise in R&D in the field of charging infrastructure.

go-e Controller
go-e Controller - Even cheaper, safer and more sustainable charging
The go-e Controller ensures that surplus electricity from a PV system is used to charge electric vehicles. In this way, you get the most out of your investment in a PV system because you increase your own consumption. By means of dynamic load balancing, the go-e Controller prevents an overload of the house power supply by automatically reducing the charging power for electric cars and plug-in hybrids connected to go-e Chargers during detected load peaks and increasing it again later. The go-e Controller is compatible with all go-e Chargers (Gemini and HOME series) and all types of photovoltaic inverters* and AC battery storage systems.
*PV optimisation is also possible without direct measurement of production by the inverter. Own production can be measured and visualised via a sensor for AC inverters only.
Energy Monitoring
With the go-e Controller, you monitor the energy fl ows of buildings. As a result, depending on the position of the sun and the current power demand in a building, charging processes of electric cars can be controlled even smarter in interaction with go-e Chargers. But you can also simply use the Controller to monitor consumers. For example, you can keep an eye
on the energy fl ows of a heat pump, air conditioning system or sauna. 1-phase or 3-phase operation of the Controller is possible. In the case of three-phase power grids, you can monitor 3 additional devices (e.g. PV inverter, AC battery storage and heat pump), in the case of single-phase power grids even 5 additional devices.
Self-consumption optimisation: Efficient use of surplus solar power
With the go-e Controller, you charge surplus solar energy into the batteries of electric vehicles via one or more go-e Chargers. If your PV panels generate more energy than is needed to operate your household appliances, you increase your self-consumption by charging and thus save a lot of money with green energy. At the same time, you avoid feeding electricity into the public grid at a possibly too low price. For the PV Surplus Charging and Dynamic Load balancing functions, no measurement of PV production is necessary. However, by direct measurement at the AC connection of the inverter, self-consumption can also be displayed correctly. No direct communication to the PV system is necessary. Battery storage systems can also be taken into account as long as they can be measured at the AC connection (for hybrid inverters with DC battery connection, direct measurement of battery power is not possible). It is up to you whether you want to charge exclusively with PV surplus electricity or also with mains electricity.
Automatic phase switching**
If your PV system generates at least 1.4 kW of surplus energy, the go-e Controller transmits this information to the go-e Charger, which then takes care of the actual charging process with PV surplus power. The Controller automatically switches between single-phase and three-phase charging depending on the available current. In this way, you can achieve high self-consumption even with low production of PV surplus energy. As soon as your PV system produces enough excess power, the Controller switches to threephase charging.
Dynamic load balancing to prevent blackouts & Peak Shaving
To avoid power cuts, you need a load balancing system when charging electric vehicles. The go-e Charger already off ers static load balancing, which allows you to take into account the maximum available power of your building when charging several electric cars. However, you would have to plan a buff er, as there are other electricity consumers running in the building. Therefore, the go-e Controller enables dynamic load balancing. If necessary due to many electricity consumers running at the same time the charging power of the go-e Chargers connected to the Controller is automatically adjusted. As a result, your household appliancesand charging stations do not consume more electricity at once than your house connection can handle. And that fully automatically.
Convenient control from the couch
Set your preferences for solar energy production and consumption via the app, right fromyour couch. Or use the go-e app to access all controller settings and adjust them to your needs. Whether dynamic load balancing or electricity consumption in your building. You keep an eye on everything. Once the Controller is connected via WiFi or Ethernet, charging your electric vehicle becomes even simpler, safer, cheaper and more sustainable.
Advanced functions for experts and integrators
You have programming skills? Get even more control when charging an electric vehicle. The Controller has additional interfaces such as local HTTP API, Modbus TCP and MQTT. With the optional cloud connection, the Controller‘s functions can be optimised even further.
**Only available for HOME Series V3 and Gemini Series.

go-e Charger Gemini flex
Smart EV Charging Solution – Mobile Wallbox - Price-performance winner in the Auto Bild Wallbox Test 2023
Many smart functions that make charging electric vehicles even more convenient are already integrated in the go-e Charger Gemini flex. The charging station is suitable for installation indoors and outdoors in both private and commercial environments (without selling charging power). The charger can be connected directly to a suitable red CEE three-phase socket or to other sockets via an adapter (available as an accessory). It is not necessary to open the go-e Charger during the installation process.
Highest flexibillity: stationary and mobile usable
In the wall bracket, the go-e Charger Gemini flex can be operated just like a purely stationary wallbox. The big plus: with a few simple steps, the wallbox can be transformed into a mobile charging station and ensures maximum charging flexibility even at locations where no (public) charging station is available. This guarantees relaxing in the holiday home, on the campsite or at friends‘ and relatives‘ homes even after a long journey (adapters available as accessories may be required).
Simply charge any electric vehicle - Plug & Play
The go-e Charger can be installed with little effort and put into operation within a very short time, depending on the home‘s electrical system. Simply attach the wall bracket, hook up the wallbox and connect it to a suitable socket. The charging process is as uncomplicated as charging a smartphone. Plug in the type 2 cable and the go-e Charger charges with the power requested by the car in the standard setting. If necessary, the charging current can be adjusted directly on the device using the black button.
Numerous safety functions
The extensive safety functions of the go-e Charger ensure that you can sit back and relax while the car is reliably charged. The charging station reduces the current flow if necessary (static / dynamic* load balancing) or switches off completely if fault currents occur. In this way, the charger protects your car, your home‘s electrical system and itself from damage. The go-e Charger is equipped with a DC protection module that protects the house wiring from possible DC fault currents that could be caused by an electric car. On the building side, only a type A residual current circuit breaker and a miniature circuit breaker need to be installed. The go-e Charger also provides additional protection against AC faults (6 mA DC, 20 mA AC).
Total control - via app even from the sofa
All charging processes can be carried out with the go-e Charger without an app. The wallbox signals the current charging status via an LED ring. All details about the charging status can be viewed even more conveniently via the go-e Charger app. If necessary, you can also use it to adjust all basic and comfort settings. You also keep an eye on the amount of electricity charged via the integrated electricity meter. When the wallbox is integrated into a WiFi network, the device can be controlled and monitored from your sofa.
Usable inside and outside
Thanks to the IP65 classification, the go-e Charger can always deliver full performance regardless of the weather conditions. The charging cable can be locked to prevent theft. When installed outdoors, you are able to protect the wallbox from unauthorised use by using an RFID chip. RFID chips are also useful if several people share the device. The charged current is shown separately for each user.
Different charging modes for cost-effective and sustainable charging
Coming home after work and immediately starting the charging process is easy, but not necessarily sustainable and cheap. With intelligent functions such as the scheduler, you can postpone your charging processes with the go-e Charger to times when electricity is available in abundance. This reduces the pressure on the electricity grid and, depending on the electricity tariff, can also pay off financially.
Charge even more intelligently with the go-e Controller
Take your charging experience to the next level with the go-e Controller. The Controller enables dynamic load balancing to avoid overloading the grid when charging your vehicle. The Controller also helps you easily use surplus power from your solar panels and monitor your energy flows. To further optimise your charging process, we recommend a holistic solution consisting of a go-e Charger and an energy management system such as the go-e Controller.
TÜV Rheinland has tested the go-e Charger Gemini flex for and confirmed compliance with EN IEC 61851-1. All relevant associated safety standards have also been tested by TÜV Rheinland.
