Felts and Waddings are products that are always present in our day to day lives. What we provide at Masias Maquinaria is the design, manufacturing, assembly and start-up of production lines of felt and wadding of all types and garments made from different kinds of materials. We are specialized in finding the perfect mix through a studied production process in order to obtain high quality materials by means of an economic and operationally efficient process.

 

This is the part that has the greatest bearing on the comfort and appearance of the mattress. Our speciality is obtaining high quality mattress panel through variable blends of fill materials such as polyester fibres, cut foam, and recycled remnant materials from the same mattress panel production. The star equipment in this manufacturing process is the crosslapper that uses Airlay technology to form a pad from these materials and directly feeds it into any type of multi-needle quilter, thereby avoiding the traditional use of rolls of wadding.

Everyone is interested in avoiding the waste of production process remnants, as this generates two problems: firstly, an economic problem, because the quantity of high quality raw materials is dwindling, and secondly, an environmental problem, whereby waste is being generated that must be properly managed, which generates more costs.

Within this framework, Masias Maquinaria has designed specialised equipment to recover production waste, such as remnants of mattress covers or offcuts from felt lines, as well as foam remnants. This waste recycling equipment enables this material, which would otherwise be waste, to be treated so that it can be placed back into the production system, thus optimising 100% of the raw materials without line waste.

The world of pillow production is the most diverse when it comes to filling material: fillings range from polyester-derived to natural fibres of different origins. This variety makes the market lively and one of trends, a market which must reinvent itself to respond to end-consumers’ requirements.

Masias Maquinaria’s technology adapts to the needs of this type of market by making it possible to use the same automatic production system for a variety of pillow-filling materials: polyester fibres, cluster fibres, microfibres, foam and other natural fibres like wool or kapok, or a blend of any of these products.

The automatic pillow production lines include capacities ranging from 1,000 to 4,000 pillows per shift, with a single operator and a high-quality final product. These aspiration pillow filling production lines can be completely automatic, semi-automatic or manual, depending on the customer’s degree of specialisation

At Masias Maquinaria, we specialise in implementing automatic quilt and duvet production lineswith the most advanced direct feeding (lapping) or carded filling technologies, whether using synthetic, natural or artificial fibres.

Our automation processes in the production of quilts and duvets combine the flexibility and grammage of the fibres with high productivity, from the opening of the fibres to the packaging of the end product. We thus ensure maximum quality in the quilt or duvet in order to respond to the demands of the different consumers.
