Description

All round hygge

The Old Norse word skaga means “to stand out” and describes the location of Skagen, the northernmost city in Denmark, where the North and Baltic Seas meet. The high-quality Skagen cooking series from Schulte-Ufer stands for the hyggelige of the Nordic way of life as well as for the outstanding – made for enjoying life in a cozy atmosphere with delicious food.

Inspired by nature is the excellent 3-layer material that defines Skagen. Like the individual layers of an onion, two protective stainless steel layers encase a heat-conducting aluminum layer, which, in contrast to conventional cookware, is pulled up to the rim. The aluminum transfers heat quickly, efficiently and evenly from the stovetop to the rim of the pot or pan – on induction and gas as well as on all other common types of stoves. Thanks to the heat-resistant, shatterproof quality glass lids, you can keep an eye on your food even when covered and thus the heat in the cookware. By cooking your food with less heat thanks to Skagen, you save time, money and energy. And since the highly polished items from Skagen with their handy cast handles are timelessly beautiful, they are also wonderful as serving dishes. With the lid on, the food stays at the same temperature for at least 45 minutes. And because Skagen is dishwasher safe – except for the glass lids and pan coatings – subsequent cleaning is no problem either.

So all around hygge with Skagen!

Romana i - the design classic

The design classic

The success story of Romana, the first cookware series made entirely of metal and therefore dishwasher-safe on the German market, began in 1977. Since then, this design classic has not only gained users but also fans who appreciate the unsurpassed variety of sophisticated practical details.

The most important part of a cookware is the base. The main component of our protherm® all-stove copper base is a continuous copper disc that quickly absorbs the heat and distributes it optimally. Anyone who cooks on poorly made cookware that wobbles on the stove because the base has become uneven is losing valuable energy during heat transfer. Our three-leaf clover, Schulte-Ufer's trademark, only graces products whose bases are extremely precisely crafted and have an optimal fit. This means that dishes may be prepared energy-efficiently and precisely to the point.

Another trademark of Romana i are the precisely fitting frame lids with multiple uses. The lid recess ensures optimal air circulation in the pot and thus enables energy-efficient cooking with little fat and water. The lids can be easily hung in the handle and also be used as coasters.

By only using high-quality materials such as stainless steel or copper and processing them first-class, Schulte-Ufer guarantees a long service life for Romana i products. The high-quality material mix ensures that Romana items last a lifetime when used properly and can be passed down from grandparents to parents and then on to grandchildren. This is true tradition that is enjoyable in the present and sustainable. And at the end of its useful life, the full metal cookware can be 100 percent recycled. This prevents the waste of resources at the expense of future generations.
