The Bedspread (Nakshikatha) is a traditional product of Bangladesh and Thanapara Swallows Development Society. 4 women work together to make a bedspread. This work is so slow that it takes about 20 days to create some one bedspread. Our bed spread is basically made of 3 layers of fabric. The upper and lower part of bedspread use light weight plain organic cotton fabric and the inner part recycle fabric are used. Another feature of our Bedspread is that we use organic threads for the embroidery. Cross stitch, shirting vorat applique patchwork design is done in bedspread.
