Every year, Ambiente honours an outstanding figure from the international design scene as the Ambiente Designer of the Year. This designer creates an exclusively conceived special exhibition at the trade fair. In addition, through the Designer Community, Ambiente provides a space for in-depth and direct dialogue within the industry and offers an exclusive programme.
Ambiente Designer 2027: Raw Color
Raw Color is Ambiente Designer 2027. With their distinctive approach to colour, form and material and their experimental design philosophy, Daniera ter Haar and Christoph Brach are among the innovative voices shaping the international design scene.
At their Eindhoven studio, they explore how colour interacts with different materials and how it can become tangible and experiential. Raw Color combines graphic design, photography and product design to create a direct, energetic visual language. Their work plays with materiality, perception and unexpected colour combinations.
The studio works on international projects for renowned companies and institutions including Adidas, Hermès, IKEA, Kvadrat, Samsung and the Van Gogh Museum. Their work has been exhibited around the world and is part of prestigious museum collections, including the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum in New York and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.
Whether product, textile, photography or spatial installation, Raw Color never considers colour in isolation, but always in interaction with form, material and its surroundings. The result is work that feels intuitive while opening up new perspectives on the power of colour.
In 2027, Raw Color brings this distinctive design philosophy to Ambiente and, as Ambiente Designer of the Year, takes centre stage at the leading international consumer goods trade fair.
Interior Design & Architecture Hub
With the Interior Design & Architecture Hub, Ambiente presents a forward-looking format for interior design, architecture and hospitality. In 2027, Raw Color lends the space its distinctive creative signature. With its unique sense of colour, form and material, the design studio creates an inspiring setting featuring selected exhibitors’ products – opening up new perspectives for the international contract business.
