The share of recycled PCR-PET has been increased from 70% to 90%. To recycle PET bottles, they must first be collected and cleaned. They are then shredded into small PET flakes. Melting these flakes allows them to be processed into granulate, which is used to produce the film backing. Combined with adhesive, primer, and, if necessary, a release layer, the final product comes to life.
