Description

Between shadow and light
Black, gold and silver: this exceptional tricolor piece joins our
collection of art knives. It stands out with its extremely fine
handcarving work, combining symmetrical curves, floral
patterns and textured engraving.

The ‘Éclipse’ is a knife crafted from three distinctive elements:
a Morta wood handle, a stainless steel spring and two brass
plates. These materials symbolically represent the three
celestial bodies that influence our daily lives: the Earth, the
Moon and the Sun.
The Earth is represented here by the Morta, an exceptional
wood selected for its historical richness and unique
characteristics. For over 5,000 years, oak trunks have been
buried under peat. In this anoxic environment, deprived of air
and oxygen, the wood is protected and absorbs silica. Over
time, minerals gradually replace the organic material in a
fossilization process, giving Morta its remarkable resistance
and durability.
At the center of the knife, the bee and the spring are gleaming
in a beautiful silver hue reminiscent of the Moon. Each
element has been crafted with precision: the cutler imparts
the knife with its unique beauty through refined handcarving
and delicate engraving.
The splendor of the Sun is reflected in the golden hue of the
brass plates, evoking two burning rays at the heart of the
eclipse. Three delicate golden flowers, crowned with small
diamonds, add a magnificent final touch to this exceptional
knife

Le Bijou

A tricolor alliance
With a distinctly feminine elegance, this new creation in Art
cutlery stands out for its delicate and refined design. Inspired
by the idea of a three-gold ring, the knife features a unique
tricolored alloy of brass, stainless steel and copper.

The delicacy and beauty of handcrafted details
This 12 cm piece is crafted with two golden brass bolsters and
two rosy copper plates, finely handcarved by our cutlers. At
the center, the iconic Laguiole bee dons one of its most
beautiful dresses, featuring magnificent engraving both subtle
and textured, allowing the light to reveal every detail.
Extending from the handle, the spring is delicately
handcarved with meticulous attention to detail. Elegant
symmetrical curves blend with charming floral patterns, while
finely engraved small beads adorn the spring, sparkling like
diamonds.
Every aspect of the ‘Bijou’ knife has been created with great
care and precision, reflecting the dedication and passion of
our cutlers.
This art knife is available in 3 different materials:
- Warthog tusk, soft as porcelain, with light beige and white
hues that can be marked on the surface by lovely warm
shades ranging from camel to brown.
- Ebony wood, particularly sought after and appreciated for
its durability. It captivates with its dark and intense color
along with a beautiful grain.
- Ironwood burl, a very dense wood species with beautiful
contrasts between ochre and dark brown. This material,
appreciated for its unique aesthetics, is particularly rare: its
use requires waiting for several hundred years until the tree
naturally dies.
