We are an artisan factory, established in 1976 by Giovanni Costoli. For all our production we use glass or crystal, we make all items for home, and all our items are made by an exclusive handcraft processing.
We hand paint each piece for obteining a special gold or silver finish. We use some different kind of brushes, with some lustre colors like red, blue, green, amber, amethyst and pink, all the previous lustres have no lead.
All our product are not harmfull for human health once in contact with food in compliance with the law on food products and consumer products (D.M. 21 Marzo 1973, art. 4/5 D.Lgs n° 108 dated 25/01/1992, Direttive CEE 89/109).
Engraving with Pantograph:
Every glass and crystal item is completely covered with fused wax. Later they are placed on special pantographes with needles that scratch the wax to obtain the pattern chosed before. After this work, carried out by our artisan masters, all the products are dipped in acid basin for engraving all the parts where the wax has been scratched. At the end, each piece is washed in hot water and all the wax melts completely. In this moment it is possible to admire the pettern on the poduct.
Final work-proceding is the decoration. After the pantograph engraving, Artisan Masters embroider the pattern with gold and silver with special brushes. They take care of all our items, and They transmit all their experience and capability to every piece in crystal or glass, in order to obtain real and exclusive collection objects.
Finally all the items are again cooked in our refractory ovens at elevate temperatures (about 500-600 C°) to fix the gold(picture n°2). Our quality control and packing conclude the processing.
Our production, completely artisan and exclusively handcrafted, symbolizes the real Italian Style.
Engraving with lap stone:
This is another way to obtain our artisan pattern. We lap our items with special stones, they have different sizes, and later we paint with gold or silver as for the engraving with pantograph.
About Gold and Platinum:
All our items are painted with the best quality of platinum, silver and gold 24K. We hand paint our items with special brushes. Every item and every finishing needs it’s special brush.
About Colors:
We use the highest quality of lustre color. As for the gold finish we hand paint with brush.
For particular items we have the color inside the glasses, inside the row material, we color the items while we are blowing by mouth the piece, like the dark blue (Picture n°1) in this way we obtain darker colors, while for some other colors we hand paint them later after the pantograph engraving
About crystal:
All items with our crystal trade mark are guaranteed genuine lead-crystal containing over 24%Pbo and have a refractive index above 1.545, as required by the E.E.C. rules.
