CONDA Export & Import Co was started from 1993 and was immediately recognised to be an important manufacturer of
artists' easels and following this single product success the company soon increased its number of products to include
canvas and stretchers.
The product offering continued to increase and now includes a full range of traditional artists materials including easels,
stretched canvas, brushes, painting sets, portfolios, plastic palettes and a comprehensive selection of leisure products.
In addition CONDA converts a full range of artists' papers and tubes top quality artists' paint.
In 2008, CONDA opened the art material manufacturing base in China - this new base, located on Daxie Island on
the Ningbo Eastern Seaboard, is approximately 66000 sq metres and includes two separate manufacturing units
Unit 1. for the production of easels and canvas products.
Unit 2. for the production of paint, painting sets,portfolios, artist's brushes and paper conversion.
CONDA R&D team includes 15 “new product” designers and 2 “packaging” specialists trained to listen and understand
the requirements of artists, hobbyists and leisure painters worldwide. The R&D team is accountable for the development
and performance of every CONDA product manufactured at Daxie. In addition CONDA engaged a famous international
graphic artist to design a range of drawings for our popular activity painting sets.
The new consolidated operation costing Chinese Yuan 120M (USD15M) will lead our 3 year business plan to provide
better management control and upgrade quality control obligations.
The CONDA brand name is registered in over thirty countries and has a very clear business mandate to understand the
requirements of artists' worldwide and deliver quality products at consistently competitive prices.
