In 1994, something revolutionary happened in a kitchen in Toronto, Canada, that would change the world of cooking forever. Frustrated with the grating results of her old kitchen grater, a housewife picked up her husband's Microplane wooden grater and unexpectedly discovered the perfect way to grate food.
