DiGRAFT Co., Ltd.
Pottery - Mino ware / made in Japan
Description
Mino ware is a type of Japanese pottery produced in the Tōnō region of Gifu Prefecture, with a history spanning over 1,400 years. Today, it accounts for more than 60% of Japan’s total production of traditional tableware. Unlike other styles, Mino ware encompasses a wide variety of forms and techniques—15 of which are officially recognized as traditional Japanese crafts.
Although often perceived as heavy, plain, or difficult to use, DiGRAFT reimagines Mino ware with a fresh approach. Our designs feature simple patterns that blend seamlessly into everyday meals, and are crafted to be lightweight and easy to handle—bringing tradition into modern life.
