We, Karan Group, are the largest producers of Coir/Jute/Sisal doormats, area rugs and broadloom carpets. Karan Group consists of The Alleppey Company Limited, Kerala Balers Pvt Ltd and William Goodacre & Sons India Pvt Ltd. Even though we have 3 separate legal entities, each Karan Group company provides their customers with the wide range of products produced by our sister companies with seamless service integration.

We have 7 major factories spread across the states of Kerala and Tamilnadu. We have specialized in the mechanized methods of manufacturing. We own and operate more than 80% of all power-looms working in this Coir/Jute/Sisal industry. We have 110 power-looms spread across 4 of our weaving facilities. This includes 27 Jacquard looms that can weave Coir/Jute/Sisal fibers – a unique offering from Karan Group. Our emphasis on mechanized methods of production has helped us offer products that are of uniform weave characteristics compared to hand-woven products. In addition to these weaving facilities, we have a modern rug finishing unit, several mat finishing/stenciling units, 1 fully automated latex backing unit and 4 modern dyeing units. We are also the largest producers of Vinyl Backed Coir mats with 4 vinyl backing lines and 3 electrostatic flocking units. Our integrated powerloom factory at Ammandivilai (Tamilnadu) is the largest single unit for the production of Coir and allied products. Being one of the oldest existing companies in this industry, we have the best team of skilled craftsmen working for us to produce our range of hand-woven products.  A separate sheet with the combined production capabilities of the Karan Group companies is attached.

Our marketing/sales efforts have 2 channels – direct sales to large retail chains and sales to leading importers/wholesalers worldwide. We are the preferred vendor to almost all leading retailers having direct import programs of Coir/Jute/Sisal products out of India.
