Über uns
Visconti was founded in October 1988 in Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance and a symbol of Italian artisanal culture, where the company’s headquarters and production facilities are still located today. Since its inception, Visconti has established itself in the world of luxury goods, becoming one of the leading manufacturers in the sector, renowned for its craftsmanship and the celebrated "Made in Italy." Building on these roots and driven by a strong spirit of innovation, the first fountain pens produced immediately stood out for features that have since become true hallmarks among enthusiasts: vibrant colors, captivating designs, and high-quality materials.
Every Visconti product is crafted in-house, with over 35 years of expertise in the field. Each design detail results from meticulous study and research to ensure an extraordinary quality product. This commitment has led to the creation of iconic patents such as the Power Filler filling system (1993), the Double Reservoir Power Filler (1998), the Traveling Inkwell (1997), and the latest Galileo Double Filler system (2024). We guarantee unparalleled standards and unique performance by continually exploring new technologies and advanced materials.
Art and culture have always been Visconti’s primary sources of inspiration. Our goal is to evoke the same emotions that a work of art can inspire through a unique instrument like a Visconti pen. Materials such as lava, carbon fiber, and leather, and the distinctive ways they are used, are iconic elements that our customers immediately recognize as hallmarks of the brand. The company masterfully blends tradition and innovation, combining renowned Italian craftsmanship with a constant exploration of new materials and designs.
Owning a Visconti product is a lifestyle choice—a unique status symbol defined by distinctive perceptions and sensations.
Today, Visconti aims to emerge as a lifestyle brand where consumers can enjoy the experience, excellence, and innovation the company offers, becoming part of a world that unites aesthetics and functionality. Our objective is to engage customers in the sensory pleasure of the "slow living" experience through writing instruments and accessories that enrich daily life.
Visconti is a loyal companion, ready to capture the essence of every emotion and make the invisible tangible, transforming the act of writing into an authentic and personal form of expression.
In a world where communication is often fleeting, Visconti products offer an intimate and enduring experience. They celebrate the beauty of writing, allowing every thought to be expressed with the care and attention it deserves.
Each Visconti pen represents an experience, not just an object.

Mirage Mythos Poseidon
The Mythos collection is a tribute to the ancient Greek gods, who inspired art, literature and culture for centuries. Our latest edition to the collection is Poseidon, the protector of seafarers and the guardian of many Hellenic cities and colonies.
The Poseidon pen is a stunning example of Visconti’s design philosophy. The dark sea blue resin captures the essence of the deep sea, where Poseidon was believed to dwell and rule over the waves and storms. In coordination with the dark color of the resin, this pen mounts for the first time in the Mirage Mythos collection, ruthenium trims and nib. Both the pen’s body and trims are sandblasted to create an elegant contemporary feel to the design.
The Poseidon pen is a perfect choice for anyone who loves the sea, mythology or simply appreciates a fine writing instrument.

Dreaming Starry Night
Dreaming Starry Night is the crowning achievement of a grand journey spanning more than twenty years, driven by a passion for art, a love for beauty, and a dedication to quality. The first Visconti pens dedicated to Vincent Van Gogh date back to 2001, and since then, we have never stopped celebrating the life and works of the great Dutch painter, along with the infinite beauty that surrounds us.
The design of the collection is inspired by Van Gogh's famous impasto brushstrokes which, through the application of thick layers of oil paint, gave his masterpieces their characteristic vibrant effect. To recreate this feeling, the barrel and cap of the Dreaming Starry Night pen are crafted using the ancient sculptural technique of lost-wax silver casting. This way, by touching the pen, one can feel the ridges and swirls that characterize Van Gogh's works. On this silver micro-cast base, an enamel layer is applied, recreating the most famous work of the Dutch painter: The Starry Night. Each pen is meticulously hand-enameled by master artisans to pay homage to Van Gogh’s pictorial mastery.
Even the smallest details of the Dreaming Starry Night are designed to celebrate art. In fact, the clip is a micro-cast in yellow gold-plated silver, representing a paintbrush, the painter’s primary tool. The central ring features the artist's signature, engraved and highlighted with a blue enamel layer that elegantly contrasts with the yellow gold-plated metalwork of the pen.
The fountain pen version features the iconic Visconti Power Filler Double Reservoir filling system and an 18kt yellow gold nib.
The pen is complemented by a special stand reminiscent of the world of painting, designed as a precious frame resting on its easel. The canvas also features Vincent Van Gogh’s golden signature and a plaque bearing the Visconti logo and the name of the collection. In this way, the Dreaming Starry Night can be displayed at the center of the canvas— the most fitting context for a true work of art.

Homo Sapiens Carbon Moiré
The Homo Sapiens Carbon Moiré is the result of years of complex experimentation, aimed at creating a collection that combines cutting-edge techniques with an inimitable aesthetic. The use of unique materials has been the distinctive feature of the Homo Sapiens family since the first implementation of volcanic lava in the iconic Homo Sapiens Lava Bronze. Inspired by this initial urge, our designers embarked on an exhaustive search for advanced materials, particularly drawing inspiration from the craftsmanship of the most prestigious Italian supercars and hypercars.
After extensive research and experimentation, we focused on the implementation of forged carbon: a composite material of recent conception, made by combining carbon fiber fragments and resin. This characteristic gives the barrel an organic appearance, with the fibers taking on an irregular and dynamic pattern. However, it is the meticulous process of amalgamating gold leaf within the composite that makes this material aesthetically unparalleled. The golden hue creates unique reflections: the material appears alive, three-dimensional, almost holographic, much like the refined moiré fabrics that lend the collection its name. Enthralled by this play of light, we chose to leave the material exposed without additional surface coatings. This way, when running your fingers over the pen’s surface, you can feel the succession of carbon fibers with their subtle ridges and depressions, resulting in a pleasantly porous and irregular texture.
The use of forged carbon gives the pen its characteristic lightness. To emphasize this strength, all metal components are made of grade 5 titanium, a special alloy that is twice as light as brass or steel. This alloy undergoes a controlled natural oxidation treatment, allowing our designers to match the color of the gold leaf present in the resin by harnessing the chemical properties of titanium without using paint. The natural titanium color is visible on the Visconti clip, thanks to a delicate laser engraving that removes the oxidation, revealing the titanium beneath and creating a refined two-tone effect.
To protect the metal components, a very thin layer of transparent nano-ceramic coating is applied, which stabilizes the color over time and preserves the titanium from potential micro-scratches.
The fountain pen version of the Homo Sapiens Carbon Moiré is equipped with our iconic Power Filler Double Reservoir system – a remarkable innovation compared to the traditional Power Filler that characterizes the historic Homo Sapiens collections. To highlight the introduction of the double reservoir, the central ring features a section in clear acrylic resin, allowing the ink level to be seen even when the pen is closed.
The cap is equipped with an improved magnetic closure system, ensuring an even more secure and solid seal. Completing the fountain pen is our 18kt yellow gold Visconti nib. The edition is limited to 226 pieces, in tribute to the atomic numbers of the key chemical elements that give the pen its extraordinary lightness: carbon (6) and titanium (22).

Van Gogh Potato Eaters
For over two decades, Visconti has celebrated the genius of Vincent van Gogh with its iconic line of writing instruments. As we welcome 2025, we are proud to unveil the latest addition to this cherished collection: the Van Gogh Potato Eaters pen, inspired by one of the artist’s most profound works.
Regarded by Van Gogh himself as his most significant painting, The Potato Eaters captures the raw beauty of humble life. This essence is masterfully reflected in the pen’s design, featuring a dark palette enriched with earthy tones of green and ochre. Each pen is an ode to the painting’s depth, texture, and spirit.
Accompanying the pen is a collectible gift box, adorned with the iconic artwork. Inside, discover carefully curated accessories: a bookmark inspired by the painting (for ballpoint and rollerball versions) or a special ink bottle, echoing the painting’s deep hues (for the fountain pen version).
Available in ballpoint, rollerball, and fountain pen, the Van Gogh Potato Eaters pen invites you to experience the timeless intersection of art and craftsmanship. With every stroke, you’ll hold a piece of Van Gogh’s world, reimagined for today’s dreamers.

Homo Sapiens Lava Bronze
Homo Sapiens Lava Bronze is a pen that artfully combines history, innovation and elegance. The pen is crafted from a very unique material patented by Visconti: its black body is made from the Lava of the sicilian Mount Etna, the tallest active volcano in Europe.
This material has a high resistance to heat, shock and corrosion, as well as a smooth and warm touch.
The design of the Homo Sapiens Lava Bronze features metallic trim inspired by the Bronze Age, the era in which the first writing systems were invented. The Visconti Homo Sapiens pen is a tribute to the evolution of humanity and writing, and a masterpiece of Italian craftsmanship.
The pen features an 18kt golden nib crafted in-house by Visconti, Power Filler filling system and Hook Safe Lock.
