Japanese stationery Kakimori Robinson
Have you ever imagined an ink bar?
A true Tokyo stationery store, Kakimori has been exploring the world of colours and shades like a mixologist in search of new flavours for over 10 years.
In each of its three shops, the brand has a space for creating customised colours. With the help of test tubes and pipettes, customers can mix their own inks to obtain a customised colour.
感情表現
THE COLOUR OF FEELINGS
Kakimori's inks are inspired by onomatopoeia and haiku, translating feelings into colour.
No matter if you want to write a novel, a love letter, a diary, or a sketch from life, there will always be a piece of your memories that you want to keep, inked on a page.
色即是空
A WHOLE UNIVERSE AROUND COLOUR
Japanese designer Makoto Koizumi has shaped the ink bottles into the shape of falling drops. The flat, stable base prevents the bottle from tipping over and the 20 mm opening with an 8 degree angle is designed to allow you to dip or fill your pens in an optimal way.
Once dry, these pigment inks are water and fade resistant. They have been designed to ensure that your print will stand the test of time.

PRESERVE LOCAL CRAFT
Around the world, once thriving local economies are rapidly disappearing, and a region's unique crafts and resources are being lost, blinded by economic gain
The environmental impacts of this reality are an immediate challenge to the sustainability of our future existence.
For those involved in the craft industry, preserving the knowledge and skills of craftsmen developed over the course of history, and consciously returning to a more sustainable way of life, has become more imperative than ever.
By controlling the entire chain from design to production, Kakimori is reviving local and artisanal manufacturing, which is unfortunately in decline.
時間町
A NEIGHBOURHOOD WHERE TIME STANDS STILL
The Kakimori and Inkstand shops are located in the old manufacturing district of Kuramae
Far from the hustle and bustle of Shibuya, Kakimori is in one of Tokyo's oldest neighbourhoods where small traditional houses, design studios and theatres have survived the test of time.
It is in this slow and contemplative Tokyo that Kakimori imagines himself as the storyteller of this neighbourhood, nourished by interactions with the inhabitants.

Wooden animals Tlab Japan Robinson
The Japanese manufacturer T-Lab is committed to handing down the craft of woodworking. The original minimalist design, round and smooth, makes these animals very endearing and cute.
Due to their lovingly handcrafted creation, each Pole Pole animal is slightly different, each expression is unique and delicately hand finished and painted by a skilled craftsman. With over 60 different designs, these wooden sculptures are very collectible.
独自のノウハウ
A UNIQUE KNOW-HOW
Cut, carved, finely sanded and finally painted by hand, each piece is somewhat different and completely unique!
These minimalist figures are captivating and very pleasant to the touch: soft, smooth, light. At first glance, you don't even realise that they are made of wood; they have beautiful, undulating curves and precise hand-painted lines that make them a high-quality object that will last for years.
少しずつ
LITTLE BY LITTLE
Each model is first drawn on a piece of wood from Tlab's eco-responsible forest and then cut into a die, which is a sort of mould for the animal to be.
The next step is very delicate as it consists of designing the animal in 3 dimensions to give it its final shape by gently carving it layer by layer with a knife.
The animal is then polished with two different types of sandpaper to make it pleasant to the touch.
The final touch is to bring the animal to life by applying a layer of black paint with 100% natural vegetable pigment. Each animal has a unique and touching facial expression.
の理念
TLAB'S PHILOSOPHY
The name Pole Pole pronounced "poh-leh poh-leh", which is the name of these charming white Albizia wood decorative animals, comes from the Swahili words meaning "slowly, slowly".
This is a direct reference to the very nature of the T-Lab figures carefully and slowly sculpted by the hands of our craftsmen.
"From our hand to your hand. We want to warm people's hearts. That's the T-Lab philosophy."
エコロジーをデザインの中心に
AN ECOSYSTEM FOR DESIGN
T-Lab is committed to the preservation of Albizia Falcata forests, replanting the trees they use for their designs. Each Pole Pole figurine is designed in Bali, Indonesia, skillfully carved from an incredibly soft natural wood called Albizia Falcata. This is a lightweight, sustainable wood grown in T-Lab's own forest. This tree is one of the fastest growing tropical trees in the world, second only to bamboo.
