MAVOMASTER - MAVOPROBES
The Innovative MAVOMASTER & MAVOPROBES Light Metering System Provides you with Absolute Flexibility and Reliability for all of Your Applications.
Newly developed from the ground up, MAVOMASTER and MAVOPROBES elevate light metering and certification to an entirely new level: a universal, basic MAVOMASTER meter can now be easily and flexibly combined with a diverse range of MAVOPROBES (measuring probes). For example with classified measuring probes for illuminance in accordance with DIN 5032-7 class B or C, luminance in accordance with DIN 5032-7 class B or with a UV-A/LUX combination probe for non-destructive testing – for efficient light testing and certification in a great variety of applications.
A SINGLE DEVICE AND FOUR PROBES – THE LIGHT METERING SYSTEM
Each MAVOPROBE is balanced prior to shipment and can be connected immediately to any MAVOMASTER. The classified MAVOPROBES transmit acquired measurement data to the MAVOMASTER in digital format. Furthermore, it’s also possible to connect the measuring probes directly to a computer using an optional USB adapter cable. A single to multi-channel measuring system can thus be implemented with the measuring probes. The measuring probes can also be consolidated using a USB hub and supplied with voltage from a power pack. The open interface protocol makes it simple and easy to integrate the measuring probes into your own applications. The firmware for all of the probes and the basic meter is updated via the USB interface. The system concept also offers advantages for calibration because the measuring probes can be calibrated separately – for simplified shipping and reduced downtime.

MAVOPAD
The Flicker Meter – Reliably Quantifying Temporary Light Artifacts
Brightness fluctuation results from the fact that LEDs very quickly respond to voltage fluctuations. Flicker influences human health and mood, and our sense of well-being. It can trigger epileptic seizures, migraine headaches, fatigue, restricted visual acuity, distraction and impaired vision. In the case of rotating objects, the strobe effect can lead to erroneous evaluations and accidents.
Previous time range parameters such as flicker percentage, flicker index and flicker frequency are no longer sufficient, which is why new calculation procedures and parameters have been developed. These include PstLM and SVM, whose importance has increased due to the establishment of limit values in EU ecodesign requirements. Flicker assessments in accordance with IEEE 1789 and ASSIST Mp are used outside of Europe.
The universal MAVOPAD covers all of these calculation procedures and flicker parameters. In addition to displaying the parameters, the time curve and the frequency spectrum are also depicted. High 16-bit resolution and a fast sampling rate of up to 1.6 MHz even make it possible to measure lighting dimmed with high PWM frequencies. By means of updates, the MAVOPAD is also open for additional complex evaluation procedures.

MAVO-SPOT 2 USB
This high precision luminance meter
for distance measurement with an acceptance angle of 1° is assigned to class B in accordance with DIN 5032-7, appendix B of DIN EN 13032-1 and CIE 69.It measures the perceived brightness of back-lighted surfaces in candelas per square meter (cd/m²) or foot-lamberts (fL) in consideration of ambient light.
Is equipped with an excellent adaptation to the spectral brightness sensitivity of the human eye V(λ) and is highly precise with a minimal deviation of just f1‘ < 3 %, which is significantly better than specified in the standard. By means of the mirror reflex optics, the measuring subject may be targeted precisely in a 15° field of view and a sharply marked 1° measuring circle in the center of the viewfinder. Focus can be set for distances ranging from 1 meter to infinity. Shorter distances as of 34 cm are made possible by means of optional close-up lenses. Alternatively, contact measurement can also be performed with an optional, top quality probe. The velvety coating on the adapter disc prevents scratching of self-luminous and back-lighted surfaces.
Measurement functions are selected and measurements are started with convenient on-hand operation. The display on the viewfinder is activated along with back-light by simply pressing a key. The comparative and ratio measurements are especially advantageous, by means of which deviation of measured value B from reference value A is evaluated and displayed. The relationship A/B is used for contrast measurement at workstations. Percentage deviation %A allows for an assessment of the consistency of monitor screens and projection screen lighting, and difference A-B is used to detect deviation during the production process. Special tests for proving and observing norms and standards for quality, general safety, work protection, as well as safety on monitors in the field of medical diagnostics and office technology may get its documented evidence by means of our factory Calibration Certificate. Depending on how the meter is used, we recommend a calibration interval of 12 to 24 months.
