Primrose

Beschreibung

It is a bone-china dinnerware collection for professional use. The inspiration comes from how the snow gradually melts into spring, the season characterized by primroses and sunshine.

The pattern is the abstract of early spring. The pale background colors represent different colors of primroses that herald the arrival of spring. The pearl colors shine under the light just as the primrose flowers do under the spring sunshine. The white embossment that is laid out across the plate represents the melting of spring snow. As the temperature gradually warms, snow melts little by little and primroses peek out from between the snow. The melting snow looks differently at every moment, depending on weather and time lapse. Likewise, the plate changes its expression by angle and lighting. It provides the perfect background for a chef’s signature dish.

MOMENT

The “moments” of tea can become more valuable – with a teapot.

It blends in well with everyday background, yet catches your eyes at certain points of time and invites you to appreciate every precious moment of tea.

<Product Vision>

Today, efficiency is a priority, and multitasking has become the norm in our work and lifestyle. Making and drinking tea can be part of a special ceremony or a mundane activity. MOMENT is a teapot that aims to make a teatime that fits neither of these moments. It is designed to make people consciously choose to pause and enjoy the moment of making and drinking tea.

**This tea pot…

- Makes an ordinary cup of tea a little more special by visualising the beauty of tea making.

- Allows you to focus on the pure joy of tea without distraction.

- Gives you a time to relax by separating the moment of tea from other daily routines.

- It leads you to a deeper experience of tea making and drinking.

<Design Element 1: Asian Tradition>

The teapot is shaped like a flattened classical jar, inspired by traditional Asian ceramics. The uniquely curved handle recalls a traditional Japanese pattern of flowing water. Tradition is skilfully incorporated into the design, evoking deep emotions in people’s hearts.

<Design Element 2: Ergonomic Design>

MOMENT has structure that reduces the load by focusing on the moment of inertia. This teapot can reduce the load on the wrist by more than 30% compared to a teapot of the same capacity with a standard handle. Teapots with such handles are difficult to produce with ordinary ceramics, but the firing technique of Bone China has made it possible.

Asian traditions, ergonomics, and materials – all play an essential role in the distinctive beauty of the MOMENT teapot.
