Founded in Santa Catarina’s Vale Europeu, Strauss was the precursor of the art of producing crystal through glassblowing and manual labor in Brazil. The savoir-faire of handmade crystal is the heritage of European immigrants and has been transformed into a craft through the talent of true crystal masters, expertise passed down from generation to generation. A reference in the handmade crystal and fine porcelain segment, Strauss produces fine pieces both on the national market and abroad.
Each stage in the artisanal crystal making process involves an exuberant level of choreography, where precision and agility come together in the more than six hours of work required to produce a piece of colored crystal. Pure raw materials transform sand into the purest crystal, which is then shaped throw finely-honed blowing techniques and the skilled hands of artisans. These artisans carefully polish each piece, engraving lines that delicately reveal the nuances of color and layers that make each creation unique.
Strauss will be participating at the Ambiente fair for the third time at a special moment: the company has introduced an updated visual identity in which orange is used as a color of reference, a reflection of its commitment to innovation, excellence and tradition. New sections have been incorporated into Strauss’ completely redesigned catalog, exploring the diversity and delicate approach to production that only working with one’s hands is able to offer. Orange dominates Strauss’ new packaging, bestowing a look of elegance upon bags and durable gift boxes that perfectly encapsulate life’s most celebrated moments.
