Amaravathi Textiles is one of the oldest home textile exporting units in Tamil Nadu in India. The company was established in 1970, as a trading unit dealing in hand wovens. Today, our comprehensive range of machine-made home textiles includes woven fabrics, embroidered linen, prints, jacquards and terry towels, that are crafted into a variety of products. Each Amaravathi product reflects the organisation’s absolute commitment to quality.

The Amaravathi Textiles buyer network stretches across the globe and includes organisations from the United States, Canada, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, South Africa and Morocco.




The vertically integrated Amaravathi Textiles plant extends its state-of-the-art facilities for every stage from dyeing to finishing include:

  • A weaving division with diverse functional looms, capable of creating a variety of innovative designs and of weaving wide-width fabrics of up to 330 cm. The latest electronic jacquard looms and terry dobbies are a part of the infrastructure.
  • Processing facility with PLC-controlled cheese dyeing machines for yarn dyeing and soft flow dyeing machines for terry fabric dyeing. A high-tech Reverse Osmosis Plant with multi-effect evaporators has been installed to achieve zero-discharge of process effluents.
  • JUKI lockstitch sewing machines are employed for stitching.
  • A well-equipped laboratory with testing facilities for Light Fastness, Colour Fastness, Shrinkage Tolerance, Fabric GSM & Yarn Count.
  • A comprehensive Finishing section, equipped with steam ironing, vacuum packing and metal detection facilities.


We care for the environment

Amaravathi Textiles is committed to conservation of the environment. Our manufacturing facilities comply with stringent environmental norms and are equipped for effluent treatment. The Amaravathi dyeing plant uses reverse osmosis with a multieffect evaporator to qualify as a zero-discharge unit. The company has spearheaded a reforestation program on its facilities. Over 6000 native trees have been planted. By operating the company's dyeing & weaving factories on power generated by its windmills, Amaravathi textiles, has minimized its carbon foot print.
